About the City and Guilds Certificate
Whether it is due to violent storms or higher tides, flooding seems to be becoming a regular event in the UK. As the risk increases, coping with floods is going to be a valuable skill.
The impact of flooding on people and buildings can be severe: many people who were flooded last summer are still living in caravans and some have been inundated again this winter.
This workshop aims to help housing providers to help their residents to withstand flood danger and when necessary, deal with the consequences of inundation.
By the end of this workshop, participants will have a good basic understanding of the key practical measures that housing providers and tenants can take both before and after flooding emergencies.
This course is designed for people dealing with properties in flood-prone areas.
