Aims:
By the end of the course participants will:
  • have had an overview of the building regulations within the context of other legislation and guidance;

  • be able to list the main provisions of Part L (energy, new and existing dwellings) and Part F (ventilation);

  • have examined how these changes affect construction quality and commissioning;

  • appreciate user needs in making built environment accessible;

  • be able to list the main provisions of Part M (access) and associated legislation and design guidance;

  • have examined how to incorporate these provisions in procuring schemes.
