About the City and Guilds Certificate
Housing associations are increasingly being asked to deal with the adaptation of properties for their disabled residents. This course is designed for staff who are being asked to manage the adaptation of domestic properties for disabled people.
By the end of this course delegates will understand the process of adapting properties to residents’ needs, from initial assessment, through to tailoring the property to the clients requirements, and ensuring equipment remains in good order.
Staff who are being asked to adapt properties, as well as those who manage adaptations, and those who deal with the repair and maintenance of specialist equipment.
This course would also be helpful for people who assess works as part of the disabled facility grant process.
