Windows

Windows have traditionally been constructed either as casements in wood or iron, or as sash windows in wood. These types will generally be found in buildings constructed before the 1960s.

This display shows you wooden sliding sash windows, as well as modern casement and pivot windows in a variety of materials.

The exhibit shows how existing wooden sash windows can be repaired and how they can be upgraded to improve their environmental sustainability.
