Pitched Roofs

Roofs are the most exposed part of a building, affected both by extremes of temperature and by weathering.  A small undetected fault can cause more damage to an entire building than a larger problem elsewhere.

This display shows you how a pitched roof is constructed. We show a real and artificial slates, concrete and clay tiles, traditional sarking and modern roofing membranes, and identify common problems and their remedies.
