The Charities Facilties Management Group aims to improving the voluntary sector's ability to get the best out of property and facilities management.
We hold four to six meetings each year. The meetings usually feature presentations on topics of interest. The meetings also include time for general exchange of news and information. We also encourage everyone to get networking - it's amazing what you can learn during this time!
We send out a monthly email newsletter to members. This highlights changes in regulations and other topical issues, as well as news and information for members.
Members can submit requests for help, or information about suppliers -- and usually get helpful advice in return.
Our annual conference is the main opportunity for people who deal with facilities management in the voluntary sector to get together. Our last four conferences have been fully booked.
We publish the presentations from meetings and conferences on the resources section of this website.
We also have listings of members who have venues available to hire, as well as and property available.
The Charities FM Group is committed to encouraging charities to work sustainability. We have drafted a model sustainable development policy for charities to adopt. The policy encourages voluntary sector organisations to look at the environmental impact of their activities, and to make a commitment to working in sustainable ways.
